Founded in 1962, Sedano’s began as a neighborhood grocery store in Hialeah, Florida, and has grown into a staple across the state with 34 locations. Known for its strong connection to Latin communities, Sedano’s offers culturally relevant products that resonate with its core audience.

Before partnering with Black Propeller, Sedano’s had limited paid social activity and lacked the infrastructure needed to scale. Their goal was to increase Online Pickup and Delivery orders while building a more consistent and measurable digital presence.

Challenges.

The account started from scratch – no historical data, no prior campaigns, and inaccurate conversion tracking. This made it difficult to measure performance or scale effectively.

Additionally, Sedano’s had limited visibility in search for key grocery and delivery-related terms in their markets, creating a gap between paid demand generation and organic discovery.

The challenge was to build a full-funnel strategy that could drive immediate purchases while also improving long-term visibility and efficiency.

Our Strategy.

We implemented a full omni-channel approach – combining paid social expansion with foundational SEO improvements to support both short-term growth and long-term demand.

On the paid side, we launched a structured funnel across Meta, including awareness, prospecting, remarketing, and promotional campaigns. Campaigns were built for both English and Spanish-speaking audiences, with creative and messaging tailored to each segment.

We expanded reach further by introducing Nextdoor, leveraging Sedano’s strong neighborhood presence to connect with local communities and build trust at scale.

A major focus was fixing conversion tracking. Through custom conversions and third-party integrations, we established accurate data collection, enabling better optimization and more confident scaling.

From an SEO standpoint, we worked to improve visibility for key search terms related to grocery delivery, online ordering, and local store intent. This included refining on-site content, strengthening location-based signals, and aligning paid campaign insights with organic keyword opportunities.

Results.

The impact was immediate and sustained.

Within the first 90 days of scaling, purchase volume increased by 648.7%. Campaigns maintained strong engagement, with CTR reaching 1.17% – well above industry benchmarks – while keeping costs efficient.

During the holiday promotional period (October through December), campaigns drove over 2,000 purchases at an average cost per purchase of just $4.25.

At the same time, improved search visibility and stronger alignment between paid and organic efforts helped create a more consistent flow of high-intent traffic.

The result was a scalable, full-funnel strategy – driving both immediate revenue and long-term growth across channels.
